I made this scarf for MT's 8 y.o. daughter (see MT's scarf), who is always drawing rainbows. Happy child. I wanted to have irregular clouds worked in the round but even after about twenty attempts I did could not get one to look right. In the end I settled on a simple shell pattern. At first I stressed about the clouds not looking cloudy enough, and I actually got my daughter, who's a member of DA ("why-in-the-heck"), to post a pic of the scarf and get opinions: you can see a closeup of the cloud here [link]
. I've seen a commercially available scarf with clouds that are a basic large flower pattern in white, but I'm happy with mine.
Because kids will be kids, the scarf is worked in easy-to-wash acrylic in all seven colours of the rainbow (in order). It's just worked in HDC's, except for the clouds.
